London Part One

Ah, London!! One of my favorite places in the world. We have been coming to London for the last 12ish years and every time I come back I fall more in Love with the city and what it has to offer. Our first day was spent without any kids but with Tracey and Ben. I would call this a marathon walking day. We have a pub we use for a meeting place in Covent Garden called the Nags head. Our hotel was in Victoria, do we dropped our bags and headed for the tube. We met Tracey and Ben at the nags head, did a bit of shopping in Covent Garden and then walked towards Piccadilly for some lunch. Popped into a very yummy pub then tubed it back to Victoria to see WICKED! Funny that I know the entire soundtrack(as I do to most shows because I am a total Broadway GEEK) but had never seen the show. It was fantastic. At the intermission I was in tears!! OK Frozen fans, the girl that played the “Green” Witch, also is on the soundtrack for Frozen in Dutch and German as Elsa. AMAZING voice. After the show we headed back to Covent Garden to meet Ewan and head back towards Piccadilly!! Woo Hoo, I miss him. Ewan is Caden’s godfather and a great friend of ours, he lives in Putney. I think we hit 3-4 pubs, it was a really nice night of catching up. Photo’s from today were kind of neat because we saw many of the same places in the day and the dark since we kind of retraced our steps. You can tell we are aging as we were back to our hotel by 10.30pm, not 12.30am!

Pictures are wonderful and your day sounds divine. Thanks for reminding me about a trip I was planning before the last couple years craziness. It’s back on the list.
