Holy Tired Legs, Batman!! I am not sure we realized how much we walked yesterday until we sat down last night. Ouchy!! Got up, moving slowly this am, and hopped on the Tube to meet mum, dad, tracey, ben, and my babies at the London eye. We had pretty good plan for the day and first thing on the list was the Eye. Cassie is a bit scared of heights and I had to convince her to do it, but when she did she loved it. I on the other hand, have done it once and spent half the trip sitting on the bench with my eyes closed because I was so scared. I didn’t let her know that though..lol!! From the eye you can see Big Ben and Parliament extremely well. We took lots of great photos, and FINALLY got a picture of all 4 of us with our eyes open. We got off the tube at St. James’s and walked up to see the Queen’s House, the flag was up, so she was home. Cassie and I thought she would invite us in for a quick cuppa’ but I think she forgot we were coming to visit…hee hee!
Right near the palace is the Royal Mews. This place holds all the royal horses and carriages. We did the walking tour with the headphones and we all really enjoyed it and learned a lot about how the carriages are made, stored, and the horses. Very Cool.
Michael and I went back to tower Bridge to get mum, dad and the kids back on the train toward home and we went back to the hotel for a hot minute break.
Friday- We got up this am and went to the London Dungeons. This is the new Dungeons, just opened in the last year or so, we like the last ones, but this one was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend it if you are in London. Not for the faint of heart or younger kids. Cassie and Caden would have cried their eyes out, dark, dark, dark and some parts scary, even for adults. But really well done and very cool.
We loved these photos, I think Cass was not tired she looks like she is waiting for Prince Charming!!! You all look wonderful, please a kiss to Nan and Granddad for us!!! Wish we would have gone with you!!!
